Letizia Pecci’s art stems from a desire to interpret the real world by going beyond the eye’s natural instinct to recognize what it observes, whether it be landscapes, female faces or natural subjects, and to be able to go in depth of things.

The artist’s objective is therefore to invite us to see beneath the first ‘skin’ of a pictorial subject and in the thickness of the layers of composition. Indeed, looking at this dense network of ‘connections’ and material layers gives the real key to understand all the represented subjects: the hidden interiority that provides substance and value to the surface. A series of works is dedicated to the ‘landscape’, characterized by the depiction of the artist’s homeland, the Tuscan hills which become a series of infinite waves

The representation of defeats, victories, experiences and signs of life emerge in the same way in the series dedicated to the depiction of women’s faces which become the “allegorical” representation of the many facets of the female world through the layering of textures. The faces, have as their focal points the eyes. These are intense and seem address the observer, inviting him to discover different worlds, without stopping at the exterior of beauty.
